We are thrilled to announce our next Cherishing Our Planet event, Turn of the Seasons, guided by Rick Beaver, Michi Saagiig elder and ecologist of Alderville First Nation.

There is something magical about the date at which the calendar informs us that one season ends and another begins. Take the 20 th - 21st of September for instance, the date of the year’s autumn beginning. To be sure, the daylight hours have been lessening since late June and will continue to due so until the first day of winter in December. Come join us to witness the Monarch Butterfly migration over the field of asters and goldenrods, the mounting restlessness of migratory bird flocks, precocious colouring of deciduous shrubs and trees and the often-unmistakable reds, oranges and yellows of ripening fruits. Seeds, the plants’ hedge on the future, are everywhere and some may even have begun to sprout already. The segue to autumn has begun.

Join us in October for a memorable experience.
